1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to data processed when you use Cartoon Me, including wallet connection, image upload or camera capture, generation requests, credit purchases, and support communications.

2. Data We Collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

A. Wallet and payment-related data

  • your public wallet address;
  • wallet label or wallet provider metadata returned by the connected wallet;
  • transaction references, signatures, payment status, order identifiers, and credit purchase history;
  • limited blockchain verification metadata needed to confirm whether a payment was made.

B. Images and generation inputs

  • photos you upload or capture using your device camera;
  • selected generation options, including chosen style and selected sex option;
  • technical image characteristics used for processing.

C. App session and device-related data

  • app session data stored locally on your device;
  • locally stored credit balances and generation history;
  • app diagnostics, error states, and limited technical logs.

D. Support and communications data

  • information you send to us when you contact support, including email content, wallet address, screenshots, and issue descriptions.

3. Sensitive and Regulated Data

Cartoon Me may process portrait photos and a user-selected sex option. Depending on applicable law, portrait photos may be considered sensitive or regulated personal data, especially if they reveal appearance-based characteristics.

Cartoon Me is not designed for identity verification, facial recognition matching, medical analysis, collection of government IDs, precise geolocation, payment card credentials, or seed phrases or private keys.

We do not intentionally ask for or want users to submit regulated data beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the app's image transformation function.

4. How We Use Data

We may use collected data to:

  • connect and maintain your wallet-linked session;
  • process and fulfill image transformation requests;
  • submit or verify top-up and payment-related actions;
  • maintain your credit balance and order history;
  • detect failed requests, abuse, fraud, or technical misuse;
  • respond to support requests;
  • comply with applicable law, legal process, store policy, and security obligations.

We do not sell personal data.

5. Legal Bases and Consent

Where required by law, we rely on one or more of the following: your consent; performance of our service obligations to you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the app; compliance with legal obligations.

If you do not want us to process portrait photos or related input data, do not upload photos or use the generation features.

6. Third-Party Services and Disclosures

We may disclose relevant data to service providers only as needed to operate Cartoon Me, such as:

  • wallet providers or wallet adapter infrastructure for wallet authorization and transaction signing;
  • Solana RPC or blockchain infrastructure providers for transaction verification;
  • Stability AI or similar image-processing providers when the app uses third-party image generation or transformation APIs;
  • cloud, analytics, crash, or support providers if later integrated for app operations and support.

We may also disclose data if required by law or valid legal request; to enforce our Terms or protect users, the public, or our systems; or in connection with a merger, asset sale, financing, or similar business transfer, subject to applicable law.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including maintaining app functionality, confirming payments and credit usage, resolving disputes and support issues, preventing fraud and abuse, and meeting legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations.

Locally stored app data may remain on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall the app. Server-side records, if any, may be retained for a limited period where required for lawful business or compliance purposes.

8. Account Deletion and Data Deletion

You can stop using the app and remove local session data by disconnecting your wallet, uninstalling the app, and clearing the app's local storage from your Android device settings.

To request deletion of server-side personal data that we control, email pabalinas@proton.me and include the wallet address used in the app, the type of request, and enough detail for us to locate your records.

We may need to retain some information where required for legal compliance, accounting, fraud prevention, transaction dispute handling, or security.

9. Children's Privacy

Cartoon Me is not intended for minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without legally valid consent. If you believe a minor has provided personal data without required authorization, contact pabalinas@proton.me so we can review and take appropriate action.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal data appropriate to the nature of the data and the service. However, no app, network, storage system, wallet provider, or blockchain system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, wallet, and email account.

11. International Processing

Third-party service providers used by Cartoon Me may process data in countries other than your own. By using the app, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different data protection rules, subject to applicable law.

12. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access personal data we control about you; request correction or deletion; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; or lodge a complaint with a competent regulator.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted or made available through the app, unless a later effective date is stated.
