1. What Cartoon Me Does
Cartoon Me allows users to upload or capture portrait photos, apply supported cartoon-style transformations, connect a compatible Solana wallet, and purchase in-app credits that can be used to request image generation.
Cartoon Me is a creative image-transformation app. It is not:
- a custodial wallet;
- a bank, money services business, or investment platform;
- a regulated financial advisor;
- a medical, health, identity verification, or age verification service.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally allowed to use the app under the laws that apply to you. You may not use Cartoon Me if:
- you are prohibited from using similar services under applicable law;
- you are under the age at which valid consent is required under applicable law and do not have required parental or guardian consent;
- your use would violate sanctions, export controls, or other legal restrictions.
Cartoon Me is not intended for minors.
3. User Accounts and Wallet Connection
Cartoon Me does not create a traditional username-and-password account. Access is tied to a compatible wallet connection and app session data.
You are responsible for:
- your wallet, seed phrase, private keys, and device security;
- reviewing wallet prompts before approving any connection, signature, or payment;
- ensuring the wallet address you use is your own or is used with full authorization.
We never ask for your seed phrase or private keys.
4. Credits, Payments, and Blockchain Transactions
Cartoon Me may allow you to purchase credits using Solana-compatible wallet payments. You understand and agree that:
- blockchain transactions are initiated through your wallet and are generally irreversible once confirmed on-chain;
- wallet providers, RPC providers, and the Solana network are third-party systems outside our control;
- network congestion, failed signatures, dropped transactions, delayed indexing, or confirmation delays may affect payment verification timing;
- credits should only be granted after the app or related systems verify the relevant payment status.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted blockchain connectivity or instant payment settlement.
5. Acceptable Use
You may use Cartoon Me only for lawful and authorized purposes. You may not use the app to:
- upload or process images you do not own or have permission to use;
- infringe another person's privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- create deceptive impersonations, false endorsements, or misleading identity-based content;
- create or distribute hateful, violent, sexually explicit, exploitative, or illegal content;
- create content involving minors that is inappropriate, exploitative, or unlawful;
- attempt to bypass security controls, abuse wallet flows, reverse engineer the service in an unauthorized manner, or interfere with the app, its APIs, or third-party infrastructure;
- use the app in a way that violates the Solana Mobile dApp Store policies or any applicable law.
You must not use Cartoon Me to create deepfakes, misleading political content, fraud materials, or any content designed to confuse people about a real person's identity, race, age, affiliation, or statements.
6. Your Content
You retain rights you have in the photos and content you submit, subject to the rights necessary for us and our service providers to operate the app.
By uploading or capturing an image through Cartoon Me, you represent and warrant that:
- you own the content or have all necessary rights and permissions to use it;
- any depicted person has consented where required by law;
- your use of the app and resulting output will comply with these Terms and applicable law.
You grant us and our processors a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, transmit, process, transform, and return your submitted content solely to provide the Cartoon Me service, improve reliability, detect abuse, comply with law, and resolve support issues.
7. AI-Generated Output
Generated outputs may vary in quality and may not always match your expectations. You are responsible for reviewing all generated results before sharing, publishing, or relying on them.
We do not guarantee that generated outputs will:
- be error-free;
- preserve every facial detail or accessory perfectly;
- be suitable for commercial, legal, medical, or identity-sensitive use.
You remain responsible for how you use the generated output.
8. Privacy and Sensitive Data
Your use of Cartoon Me is also governed by the Privacy Policy. Because the app may process portrait photos and user-selected attributes, you should use the app only if you are comfortable with that processing and have any legally required permissions.
9. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, limit, or terminate access if we reasonably believe:
- you violated these Terms;
- your use creates legal, security, fraud, or reputational risk;
- we are required to do so by law, court order, wallet ecosystem requirements, or store policy.
You may stop using the app at any time.
10. Deletion and Account Removal
Because Cartoon Me uses wallet-linked sessions instead of a full traditional account system, you can stop using the service by disconnecting your wallet, uninstalling the app, and clearing local app storage on your device.
To request server-side deletion, contact pabalinas@proton.me with your wallet address and request details. We may retain limited records where required by law.
11. Intellectual Property
The app software, branding, layout, text, and non-user content made available by us are owned by or licensed to the Publisher and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our software or branding to you.
12. Disclaimers
Cartoon Me is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Publisher and its service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, digital assets, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of Cartoon Me.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount you paid to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the event, or the minimum amount required by law, whichever is greater.
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Publisher and its service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your content, your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or your infringement of another person's rights.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, excluding conflict-of-laws principles, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to first contact pabalinas@proton.me and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions become effective when posted or otherwise made available in connection with the app, unless a later date is stated.
